Nebraska Miss Amazing is made possible by our dedicated and experienced volunteer committee.
State DIRECTOR - amy stoddard
I am a born and raised California girl but I came to Nebraska in 2010. I graduated from Long Beach College where I earned my degree in Technical Theater. I have been a stage manager for over 20 years, and still loving it! I have worked in a variety of environments, including theater, music venues, and convention/trade shows. I can’t wait to utilize my talents in theater to make Nebraska Miss Amazing the best yet!
I was first introduced to Miss Amazing in 2016, when I volunteered to be a buddy for Nebraska’s annual pageant. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I previously served on the committee as well as the Assistant State Director. Getting to know the participants has been such a wonderful journey. They inspire me to be a better person with their confidence, amazing personalities, and drive to reach their full potentials!! They are truly AMAZING!
Besides working with Miss Amazing, I have the pleasure of working with The Ollie Webb Art of Imagination program, as well as their Next Chapter book club. I am also lucky enough to be a Game Day Director for AllPlay Miracle Baseball League. I love staying busy, but do enjoy time at home with my handsome cat, George.
I am so excited to continue working with you all, as well as take this program to the next level! I am so honored to have made some unbelievable, lasting friendships, and look forward to making even more. Thank you for blessing me with this awesome opportunity!
Assistant state Director - Katie gardiner
Hey everyone, my name is Katie!! I am a senior at Millard North High School. Some of my favorite things to do are running, snacking, and and spending time with the people I love most. Some of these people are the participants that I've gotten to work with through Miss Amazing ever since I started in 2013. Their positive outlook on life and genuine approach to relationships have been a bright spot in my life. I am so excited to be a part of this organization and to see it develop into something bigger than it already is.
director of participants - jennifer herting
My name is Jenny, and I am a senior Biology student, studying at University of Nebraska-Omaha. I am planning to pursue my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I have a beautiful yellow lab named Chief. I grew up helping out with my older brother Brandon, who has Cerebral Palsy. He has inspired me to reach out and work with organizations like Miss Amazing.
I also get to work as a recreational therapy tech at Munroe Meyer Institute Recreational Therapy Programs, a unified partner and volunteer for Special Olympics of Nebraska, and an activity director for C.R.E.W., which is a program for OPS transition students. In my free time you can usually find me enjoying nature, when it’s not below freezing, or dining at Buffalo Wild Wings.
I cannot wait to see what's in store for Miss Amazing and all of our amazing participants. Please reach out to me if you want more information on Nebraska Miss Amazing, all of our upcoming event, or pageant. I can’t wait to get to know you all better!
